All these issues have been covered in a lot of detail. We're just bringing them back to the public for the next round -hopefully the forum and public gets what they need to get some agreement to wrap up and the forum can make some kind of recommendation.

The consultants have worked with communities throughout the West. They know how to break down complicated issues to a level where people can understand.

The Emerald Bay rest day was one of the most hotly contested items in Alternative 6 and we will be addressing that in a different way in this preferred alternative. There are a lot of points that are going to be different, that being one of them.

Incline is ahead in the amount of local grassroots involvement.

Their group has not yet formed. They have just been kind of organizing as local government representatives on the South Shore but have not formalized their working group or organized with the public.

That's been the reason why for 20 years, this issue has not been resolved. If this was an easy issue, it would have been resolved a long time ago.

They were the first local government to sign an agreement to participate with the place based groups.

It will fold in everything in the community. Housing, allowable coverage, development issues ... it's going to be a public thing and 'place-based' will provide the input.

It makes sense to have someone from that program stationed at the office because we have so many projects on the North Shore.

It is the compaction of everyone driving on the sand. These completely microscopic particles just don't settle.
